How to replace the hard drive on your 2011 Macbook Pro

So you have just bought a new Macbook Pro and find the built in 5400rpm drive a bit too slow? In this guide we will show you how to replace the hard drive on your new Macbook Pro with a faster drive, either an SSD or a 7200rpm Drive.
Instructions:
You will need: A standard small phillips screwdriver and a Torx T6 Screwdriver.
- Turn the macbook around so that the bottom is facing you, you will find a number of screws that you have to remove here. We have labelled which size screw goes where, to make it easier for you to put things back together at the end.

- Once you have got all the screws off, insert a finger in between the backing and the vent and pull up to take the backing off.

- There are screws holding the hard drive in place, unscrew those screws and take out the plastic holder they are attached to.

- Then pull on the flap attached to the hard drive to lift it up, take out the SATA connection connected to the hard drive and remove the 4 torx screws that are screwed on the side of the hard drive.

- Insert the T6 screws into the new hard drive (This will stop any vibration that may occur), put the SATA cable into the new drive and put the new drive where the old one was. Replace the plastic piece with the 2 screws attached to it that you removed in step 3 and put the backing back on. Remember the order of the screws, scroll up if you need to refresh your memory.
And you are done. To help you even further, here is a video with all the instructions you need to get the job done =D
