Next Macbook Pro 2012 to Get New Case Design

Provided that the world doesn’t end in 2012, the new Macbook Pro line set for release next year is rumored to get an Extreme Makeover. This new design will be after years of unibody aluminium, about time.

iLounge were the first crew that stated in February of this year, just before the releaes of the new Macbook Pro line, that this release would be the last “incremental” update before a brand new macbook design.

Next year is the year when Apple will introduce an all new design for the MacBook Pro product family, which is already under development at Quanta in Taiwan. It’s being described as a big, “milestone” release for the Pro family, as compared with the speed bump features that will be introduced in [February's] models.

The last time the Macbook Pro saw a new design was in late 2008, with the introduction of the “one piece” unibody line. Today’s Macbook Pro design is inspired by the i-Mac with a black bezel and aluminium unibody design. Although we have no idea what the new design might be like; but judging from the history of Apple – they might take a leaf out of the Macbook Air design. So we might see the new Macbook Pro line looking like a tear-drop if viewed from the side.
